看了我的视频《进入神国，就在今天》，一位东正教徒问：读圣经时犯的数学错误怎么回事？

Can anyone explain the meaning of what the narrator is saying when he states, "Do not look around for proof texts. That will lead to mathematical fallacies, similar to that of the Bible code."?
独白里说的这句话是什么意思：“不要去寻找托词经文，那会导致一种数学性错误，犹如《圣经密码》的错误”。




我回答说：
Chris: the Bible code is a mathematical trick, when you can arrange the alphabets in any skipping sequences, you can make out any words on a page, thus you can prove any certain words existing on the same page, falsifying prophesies. With the similar mathematical probability, there are all kinds sentences in the Bible, one can always find some sentences that fit his own ideas.
《圣经密码》是个数学骗局，你可以随意改变经文里字母的跳序，从而在同一页上得到任何的词语，去证明几个想要的词语同时隐藏在该页中，那就可以假冒出任何的预言了。类似的几率问题是，圣经里也有大量的句子，各种各样的句子，你总可以找到看似支持自己想法的句子。

So what you are saying is: if you invent doctrine, you can certainly find scripture that supports it when interpreted through the premises of the invented doctrine, and this practice contradicts the practice of basing doctrine on the entirety of scripture. Is that correct?
你是说：如果你发明一个教义，总能找到相关经文，能够用这个新教义来把它解释。相反，以整本圣经作为教义的基础，是与其不同的。是吗？

我回答说：
Hi Chris, i think not all doctrines, but many doctrinal inventions can be supported by deliberately selected verses, yes.  For examples, head covering, beardedness, penal substitution, purgatory, monogamy, polygamy, etc.  Chris, you have such a keen mind!
我想不是任何的教义都能被证明吧，但很多新发明的教义，都可以透过特意筛选的经文来支持。举例：蒙头、留胡子、代罚救赎、炼狱、一夫一妻婚姻、一夫多妻婚姻、等等等。你太聪明了！
